Sprint's future: bright or dim?
location: droidradar.com - date: December 31, 1969
This is not an attempt to reapply the same old "Sprint C.S. sucks/ no, it's an insane value and much improved co." A lot has come down the line today. We know now of the N1 coming to all majors, and a few hours later we hear of Supersonic announcements at CTIA next week, seeming to solidify the early summer timeline. As a longtime Sprint customer, I wonder what your thoughts are all on Sprint's future. Here's my key thoughts.
1.Sprint will have the two phones that will duke it out for phone of the year, the HTC supersonic and the Google nexus one.
1a.But everyone else will have the N1 also.
2.Sprint will continue to have a strong close relationship with HTC, the key manufacturer of android smart phones in the near future.
2a. It will not be exclusive, and sprint continues to have difficulty getting exclusives on phones anyone REALLY cares about.
3.Sprint will launch the first 4g phones this year.
3a.great head start, but I'm very concerned that what we'll see in 3 years is one cell com

Lenovo finally completed the purchase of Motorola Mobility. Good news is that not much will change with Moto leadership and brands, only improving on already solid Moto experience from the last few years. Read the open letter from Moto CEO here: http://motorola-blog.blogspot.com/20...lo-lenovo.html

Any new noteworthy future"ish" ringtones free or paid?
location: droidradar.com - date: April 5, 2015
Hey, just looking for some recommendations on any new ringtones with a futureish/sci-fi/minimalist vibe going on. I'm a longtime cleartones user and looking for something new. Sci-fi not meaning any sort of gimmicky laser or ripped star trek sounds to be more specific. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Is there a ghost finding or evp app that actually works?

Can anyone recommend anything for me? I'm looking to search a few places for paranormal activity.
Why is my browser diverting to a porn site or a 'virus detected' pop up when I browse the internet on Chrome?
location: droidradar.com - date: November 3, 2014
I have a Nexus 5 running Kit Kat 4.4.4. Whenever I'm browsing on Chrome, I will get redirected to a porn site or a pop up will 'pop up' which says I have a virus and the only only button I can press is "OKAY" which redirects me to a site that says is scanning my phone...
I decided to reset to factory settings and changed all my account passwords, but the redirecting in Chrome remains. All apps I have downloaded from the Play Store. The problem started when I downloaded the GrooveShark app. I have since deleted that app and reset factory settings and still I get the same problem.
I have run multiple anti virus apps and none of them report a virus. Please help?
Locked out phone back in Android Device Manager or Samsung Find My Phone?
location: droidradar.com - date: April 19, 2015
Howdy. I've had my S6 since launch and all has been well until a very strange problem today.
Out of the blue ths GS6 would not recognize my fingerprint to unlock the phone. I had forgotten my Backup Password (shame on me) but had the option to login via Google. That didn't work either - I was told "invalid account or password."
I went to Android Device Manager because I read you can reset the lock from there. Resetting the lock wasn't successful because it said there already was a lock code setup. Argh.
Next I logged into my Samsung account and used the Find My Phone feature. It would not reset the lock code either - just gave the error "Failed."
My last try was to actually Lock the device from the Samsung web page. It prompts you for a PIN code which I entered into the site. Now my S6 said it was locked and to enter the PIN code. I entered the code and successfully got into my phone.
Everything is working normally again. Has anyone else encountered this?

Stay on KK4.4.4 or update to 5.1? feedback requested
location: droidradar.com - date: March 22, 2015
After a terrible experience with 5.0 I rolled back to KitKat 4.4.4 and have since been ignoring Google's requests to update to 5.0.2 (and I would assume a request to update to 5.1 after I do so.)
Now that 5.1 has been out for a while, I'd like some feedback on how it is working for those of you who are using it. I'm more interested in issues like lag, crashes, reboots, wifi connectivity, speed, app performance, etc. than discussion of whether you like Material Design or want the Gallery back....in other words, is the performance of 5.1 up to par vs. 4.4.4 and worthy of my update or not? I'm pretty happy with what I've got, but would like some feedback from those of you who have been using 5.1.
Simply put - should I update or not? Do you regret updating or are you happy with the performance you are getting?
Or, put another way, if you had a chance to easily go back to 4.4.4 would you? Or did you roll back already?
As of now, I am not planning to update unless I get quite a bit of
