location: droidradar.com - date: May 26, 2015
My tablet has died it will do nothing
I have tried everything that it says to try on the internet and went to pc world today but I dont want to lose the data on there so cannot let it be sent away to be fixed, is there any possible way to make it turn on without losing the data. I thought it might be the battery but the guy said even if the battery is broken it should switch on when plugged into the mains is he correct ?
he said it must be the motherboard.
any ideas ?
thank you very much
Ideas for tablet?

I recently was given a 10.1 and don't know what to do with it. I have an ipad and a note 5 so don't really have a need for it. But I wanted to put this out there and see if anyone had any cool ideas about this tablet and how to update it. I've never rooted and installed a room but have been reading a bit on that to see if it might be something to do with the note. Anyone come up with anything?
Generic Tablet running O.W.L. ??
location: droidmania.com - date: November 13, 2013
I've recently purchased a generic, Chinese manufactured tablet that I could use some help with. I don't know much about the operating systems that these devices use, but this one seems to have something called OWL, on it. Under device info, there is tab for OWL upgrade.
Tried researching this online, and only found a developer site that explains OWL to be a small group of people trying to support the Wildfire S (OWL standing for Operation Wildfire Life). So I'm not sure if this tablet was somehow set up with a version of the mod used in that project, but I am thoroughly confused right now.
I've recently downloaded a Hardware Info app from the play store and I'm in the process of gathering some screenshots to post in with this.
There are just some basic PC/Phone/Tablet functions that don't seem to be here, and I've never seen any other device that functions quite like this one does.
Does anyone know more about OWL? Any information
Android tablet factory reset
location: droidmania.com - date: January 11, 2014
My next door neighbor bought a Curtis LT1041-B for Christmas. The daughter set a lock code on the tablet and has already forgotten it. They asked me to try and reset the device for them.
When I went to the Curtis Int website I wasnt able to find a LT1041-B. They only have manuals and documentation for a LT1041-D and a LT1041. The tablet clearly says LT1041-B. The LT1041-D seems to be closer then the LT1041, so I used its manual. Nowhere in the manual does it describe the process for factory resetting the device. It has a power button and a dedicated home button, so I cant figure out how to boot into the bootloader. I tried getting the tablet into the bootloader using ADB, however ADB doesnt show any devices listed. I am assuming this is because the device isnt in USB debug mode. Also on the lock screen there is no link to reset the password using a gmail account. Does anyone have any ideas how I can reset this device without the lock code??

Android Tablet Rooting issue
location: droidmania.com - date: September 7, 2014
I recently bought a NuVision tablet TM1088. and I can't for the life of me figure out how to root this thing!
It's an Android 4.4.2, Firmware 4.5, Kernal 3.3.0 hcz@hcz-desktop #23 Tues. June 24 20:11:14 CST 2014 Build #TM1088_20140628.
If any of that helps... I don't know if it's too new or what but I've tried about 5 different methods and nothing yet.
I don't find anything anwhere about rooting this particular tablet. Does anyone have any advise at all??

Slow Tablet fixes other then Factory Reset?General
location: droidmania.com - date: April 30, 2014
Are there other ways to fix a slow running tablet other then a Factory Reset? I read somewhere about a method where you hold a cretin button combo and turn on the Tablet or do it while turning off the tablet that does not erase everything or only erases the system memory and programs but does not erase the internal storage where all your photos, music and other non program related files are stored. I also remember something about having to do this action 3 times before it actually completely cured the slow running tablet problem.
Unknown android tablet rooting

Hi, I have this new tablet called "bluewave wave 8" and I can't find anything about this except their website here:http://bluewave-global.com/products
I want to root this device which is in version 4.4.4 and I'm not sure if, for example, a same version of a samsung tablet's rooting procedure can be done with this tablet. I've done rooting once with a samsung phone so my knowledge, specifically about requirements is limited.
I'm rooting this device because the internal storage is only 1gb and I wish to do symbolic linking so it can use the external storage (Hearthstone needs 1gb+ of internal storage for unpacking).
What do I need to know if this tablet can be rooted with the same procedure as other more common devices?
P.S. the tablet has 2 hard buttons (power and back button), idk if that information would be of help.
