Screenshots not saved in Screenshot folder
location: droidradar.com - date: October 19, 2012
I've come across a problem with screenshot. It started about two weeks ago. I am using ICS 4.0.4, updated about a month ago and had no problem with screen capture at first. I would press the symbol on the lower screen and it would click, take the shot and place it in the "screenshot" folder. Now I do the same procedure but there is nothing in the "screenshot" folder. It is now being sent to my clipboard. I go to "clipboard" folder but it is also empty. I can find my screenshot on clipboard by going to Android browser. I haven't made any changes that I am aware of to make this happen. I hope someone can help. Thank you.
Where is the "contacts" folder?
location: droidmania.com - date: May 18, 2013
I backed up my whole Samsung Fascinate using copy and paste on my PC. I was wondering if anybody knows where my contacts are kept in GB 2.3.5 file system, as I would like to fully restore them into my rooted Jellybean configuration. Unfortunately, I had forgotten to backup the entire, most recent iteration of my phonebook/contents when I flashed the unit last night. So somewhere on my PC is the folder that holds all my contacts. Thank you for any help. - kinerf
Which folder stores contacts?
location: droidradar.com - date: July 13, 2011
My wife's Captivate has been acting weird. Freezing up, no making calls, powering off on its own. Called AT&T. They told me we needed to do a Factory Data Reset. Per the CSR's instructions, I connected the phone to my PC in USB drive mode and copied all the folders to my PC.
They said to not re-install apps for a few days to see if the phone acts up "naked" without any added software. But all my wife's non-SIM-card contacts are gone too. Which folder that I copied to my PC will have the contact data? It's not obvious from the folder names.
Where is system/apps folder?
location: droidradar.com - date: October 5, 2012
Hi guys. Newbie here. So I've rooted my Samsung galaxy s3 and have been trying to install an app. I've read in many places about simply copying the .apk file to the system/apps folder but I can't seem to find this folder on my phone. On my sdcard (using ES file explorer), I see folders such as Alarm, Android, DCIM, Media, smvvm, etc. but no System folder. Please tell me where I can find it. Thanks!

can't find video folder

Ok, I am frustrated.
I have an Epic. It has issues, but at least there is an icon called MY FILES. In that file, I placed several .AVI movies, and thoroughly enjoy them.
My wife has an EVO. There is no My FILES. Instead, it has GALLERY.
In that folder there are pictures.
We can't figure out how to find the folder that the videos the camera took are stored in, can't figure out root drives. With the EPIC, it always lists the location of any file, at the top of the screen. plug the phone into your PC, and there the folder and file are, the EVO is a mess of folders, and files, none of which make sense.
In the end, I need to find the folder the camera stores videos in, and I need to know where to put movies in after I make them MP4, since the native EVO only uses MP4 and 3GP.
Video files not in DCIM folder
location: droidradar.com - date: May 2, 2014
I cannot find the video files that should be in the DCIM/Camera folder. I can see all of the JPEG files just fine. The videos are in the device, as I can play them through the stock Gallery application. I checked the details on the video files, and they are located in extSDCard/DCIM/Camera, as I would suspect. But when I open the folder, only the JPEG files appear. Any ideas?

I bought a bigger sd card to add my mp3s.
I formatted the card in the phone and these are the folders I have.
Where should I add a music folder?
What folder do I put my music into on LG Spectrum
location: droidradar.com - date: April 8, 2012
I can't find any folder labeled music or any such thing on my LG spectrum. So where do I put my mp3 files? I downloaded google play music app and can find those. But my stock music app says nothing.
