Ringtone Folder ???
location: droidmania.com - date: June 26, 2010
Does anyone know where the ringtones are stored in the Hero, I checked with Astrofile, but do not see a ringtone folder, is that because it is in the internal memory only, and if that is the case how can I get an mp3 from my music to the ringtone selections, do I have to use the ringtone trimmer to do so, thanks
Definitive android's folder structure

Okey, so I'm curious if someone know what is exact folder structure, which should be used. My question is about phone memory and SD card as well.
So far I suppose, these work:
If you want phone to find new ringtones (and only, not have it listed in music player) you should use following:
Phone not recognizing ringtones folder?
location: droidmania.com - date: January 20, 2012
I am using a Nexus S with the ICS KANGY-S ROM (v7) and for some reason, the phone won't recognize the ringtones folder for ringtones. Now, it worked fine back on Gingerbread, but for some reason none of the MP3s I have are showing up in the ringtones list.
They work with other alarm/etc programs, just not the native ringtone/alarm settings. Is this some issue with ICS? Is there some setting or new folder name I'm missing? I would just like some different ringtones that I was using previously on this phone.
Also, I have tried both SDCARD\Ringtones and SDCARD\media\audio\Ringtones.
How do you place files in "Ringtones"/"Notifications" folder?
location: droidradar.com - date: September 16, 2010
Probably a dumb question with a simple answer. I've downloaded all of the Droid X factory ringtones to my Incredible, and I would like to set the "Droid X" to be my phone ringtone, and the bootup "Droid" sound as my notification. Problem is, when I try and use Astro to move the files from my download folder on my SD card to the Ringtone and Notification folder in the system directory, the files won't paste to this directory.
The only workaround I've found is to set the ringtone as a music file and set it to be my phone ringtone through the media player, but that causes the ringtone to be played amongst my music, and it doesn't help me for the notification tone anyway.
Is there some quick and simple way I'm missing to drop downloaded files into the system directory?
Thanks in advance.

I downloaded a few dozen ringtones off Tonzr last night to my PC (faster than doing it on the phone). What is the fastest way to get them to my phone and where should I save/store them so they can be accessed/chosen when I go to select a ringtone on the Infuse?
What is my root folder name?
location: droidmania.com - date: June 9, 2010
So I'm trying to root my phone, and Step 1 references copying a file into the "root" folder on the SD Card.
There is no folder named "root," as far as I can tell. What folder is that referring to?

location: droidmania.com - date: June 19, 2012
Here is my script
For some reason it works on the emulator but when i run it on the phone it does not access the database file. This an example based on the book beginning android development.
method tried to fix problem
1. I added the new table called android_meta
2. I tried altering the database and trying outStream.flush
3. I think from reading the log cat that there could be a problem with my version of sq lite. Should i upgrade my phone.
Could some please show me how i can fix my database I would be very appreciative.
Here is the logcat
